All The News That's Unfit To Print

Videos

Hello faithful! We recently played a show with the Royds. Four videos of that performance can be found on youtube. Just search "Ten Thousand Dollar Ego" in Youtube. In fact, do it often and daily.

Also, we are playing Summerstage this year in Central park on July 9th! Come support your favorite band!

Different Than Our December Post!

Hiya! We've been dealing with all sorts of socio-political issues.

On the plus side, we're in the last stages of prep to recording our new album, and we're confirmed to play Summer stage this year.

Stay tuned!!

Wow, it's December already...

And that means Hannukah! Hooray!

So keeping with the monthly updates, here's a monthly update. We've decided to add Benny to our revolving door style lineup. Anyone who saw our last couple of shows at the Yippie Museum will know Benny as the drummer who plays a bag of pretzels. Anyone who doesn't know that are shmucks, and should really come see us live .

Other than that, we're busy working on some projects, including:
Lots of new artwork by Chris.
Finally filming some of that sketch comedy.
The completed Zombie Book written by Rich.
Some brand spanking new songs, and videos to accompany them.
Something that Max may someday do.

Other than that, we'll be taking December off as far as live performances go. But we'll have lots for the new year.

Keep your eyes out for all that stuff I just mentioned, as they'll be coming sooner than you think (kinda like some Hannukah presents).

A November news update.

And so, another news post.

Our shows at the Yippie Museum and the NYC Marathon went very well. Even better than we could've expected! So, we're back at the Yippie Museum, and it's going to be a regular thing.

November 30th, 8pm. Opening act TBA. 9 Bleecker St. NY, NY. FREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Chris has some new pictures up. Mostly some artwork he's been doing. Go check them out. They're cool.

As always, we're hard at work writing new songs, and some scripts as well for sketch comedy and short films. Be on the lookout.

That's it for now. More updates and stuff soon.

Ego.

Some sort of end of the month updatey thing.

Lotsa cool things happening with Ego!

First off, we'd like to welcome a new member into the fold - drummer Dan Gould. Great player, great drinker.

Couple new shows:

October 27th (the Tuesday before Halloween) we will be at The Yippie Museum, on Bleecker St. near NYU. It's part of Potoberfest, a monthlong, worldwide celebration brought to you by NORML. It's a free show, all ages, and starts at 8. We'll have more information about other bands soon.

November 1st, we will be playing for the New York Marathon. Our location is on the corner of Bedford and North 10th in Williamsburg - pretty much right where the L train drops you. Hang out, yell at some runners (inspiring things, of course), and meet some hipsters. Or all the hipsters. It'll be a morning show, we'll be playing for a couple hours. More details on exact times soon.

Also starting soon, we will be playing street, subway, and park shows. We'll be bringing our acoustic guitars and playing in the parks, on random streets, and when it's raining or very cold, in the subways. We all come from street performing backgrounds, so this makes the most sense. We'll be posting our locations on our Twitter page.

We've been steadily updating the site, adding new features, and we don't intend on stopping anytime soon. You can expect regular updates from us. Subscribe to our mailing list, and check the Twitter for all info, and of course, just keep coming here!

A Treat For You

Hiya fan peoples,

Rich Wisneski here. I am writing a whimsical song, and I want to be taken out of my comfort zone. So here is what I would like from you.

-A topic
-A genre
-Sung like

The topic is (duh) what the song is about. You can be very descriptive:

"That time at night when the first glimpse of the sun can be seen, how I used to run to my home from where I had been drinking in a race with the sun, as if I was a Vampire and the sun would kill me"

Or it can be vauge:

"Bunnies"

The Genre, pick one, and I'll do it.

Sung like means if you want me to sing it like a lounge singer, like Elvis, like I did in a previous song, like I'm a robot, etc.

Be creative, and I look forward to hearing from you all!
